Open Day – 10-11am, Sunday 9 September 2012 @ Kerrs Reach
The season is upon us and we’re open for business. Giddy-up!
Club members, friends, families, supporters and those interested in giving rowing a go, are invited to our Open Day to kick-off the 2012-13 season.
It will be a great opportunity for the rowing community in Christchurch to regroup and share a free sozzie following a pretty turbulent couple of years in Christchurch - which is still clearly evidenced by the construction site at Kerrs Reach. Never mind, a few gaping cracks in concrete can’t keep us away!
Come down at 10am, where our Club President will say a few words followed by a ceremonious unloading of the trailer, rigging boats (10ml spanner –your new best friend - compulsory) and a paddle on the water for Club rowers. We’ll even put on a free BBQ for morning tea to reward your efforts. Plus, there’s more! You’ll be able to meet one of our very on CRC living legends – 1972 Olympic Gold Medallist John Hunter.
It will also be a great meet & greet
opportunity for our latest recruits in the ‘learn to row’ programme kicking off
in September. Anyone who'd like to find out more about rowing is
welcome to come down and find out what the season involves.
Come along and welcome in the new season!
