Remember life before the pontoons? Cold, wet, feet pushing into the pebbles, getting stuck in weeds and squishing through dog and duck poos. Remember, when the pontoons were installed and that all become a distant memory and you could actually put your socks on before getting in the boat? Well my friends, they're back! Well, almost back. Come Monday (27 Aug), the ramps for these bad boys are getting re-installed. A promising sign for the season to come. WHOOP WHOOP!
What a steller effort by the NZ Rowing crew at London. A HUGE congrats to the whole team!

As the oldest sporting club in New Zealand, CRC is steeped in history and tradition and we are proud of our heritage. We are also excited about what the future will now bring. After a steller effort from the rowers at the Olympics, we believe interest in rowing will only continue to grow and the future is looking bright.
To this end, we are looking forward to having our new boatshed, back at Kerrs Reach, for the start of the 2012-2013 season which will give us a great new facility. In the meantime, our boats and gear are still at hand to throw on the water as the season starts to ramp up.
It is with great sadness that we report that the Leander Building came under arson attack on 25th February 2012.
Thankfully, it was mostly empty as we had vacated it after the February 2011 earthquake as it was structurally unsafe. However, repair talks were underway.
Police are investigating the fire.
